Online Resources for Category Romance Readers

Years ago, when category romance readers wanted an in-depth look at current and upcoming romance novels, they would browse through Romantic Times. The publication is no longer around, but there are a few places online where category romance readers can get the information they crave.

Here are five suggested places to browse:

Entangled In Romance

Readers can get behind-the-scenes information at Entangled Publishing’s blog. Featured posts include where authors get their ideas, the playlists they listened to while they wrote the book, and what fascinating trivia they learned during research.

Harlequin Connection

Join this Facebook group if you want to interact with other readers. Created by the publisher, this group replaces the discussion board they used to have on Harlequin.com. All romance readers are welcome but the focus is on category romance.

Mills & Boon Blog

Mills & Boon is the UK side of Harlequin. On this blog, get excerpts, exclusive news and author interviews. There are also competitions and giveaways. Die-hard readers will appreciate the behind-the-scenes information about duets, trilogies, quartets and continuity series.

Tote Bags ‘n’ Blogs

If you want to know more about the women who write your favorite stories, visit this blog. Updated frequently, many category romance authors discuss books, popular culture, romance and everyday life.

Tule Publishing’s Blog

In addition to get updates on new releases, this publisher’s blog also includes giveaways and author Q&As. Find out about the celebrities that inspired characters, the hero’s deepest fears and wishes, and if the couple’s song would change over the years.

If you’re looking for more category romance recommendations, Coffee Time Romance, Harlequin Junkie, Just Contemporary Romance and Romance Junkies offer reviews on some of the new releases.
