Q&A #6: What would be your top five favorite Harlequins?

Every Saturday I share some questions I receive from readers, bloggers and writers. Today’s question is:

What would be your top five favorite Harlequins?

The Spaniard’s Passion by Jane Porter (Harlequin Presents, December 2003). I couldn’t get enough of the hero. This book is the standard for what I expect and need in a love story. I’m not kidding!

That Carolina Summer by Janet Dailey (Harlequin, March 1982). I adored the take-charge heroine in this story. She wants a fling on her own terms with a man who challenges her in every way.

The Midnight Hour by Jude O’Neill (Silhouette Special Edition, June 1987). This romance is like a Tracy and Hepburn film. It’s so funny and sweet and emotional. It makes me laugh and sigh every time I read it.

Secret Admirer by Susan Napier (Harlequin Presents, May 1988). Once you’ve read the first chapter, you will know why. And it just keeps getting better. Yowza!

Catspaw II by Anne Stuart (Harlequin Intrigue, December 1998). A sophisticated romantic mystery that crackles with sexual tension.

I have not read two of the above authors… need to look into their books.

I haven’t read Janet Dailey or Anne Stuart in a long time. Susan Napier is an amazing writer but I don’t know if she’s still writing. And I adore Jane Porter’s Harlequin Presents. It’s a very intense emotional rollercoaster ever time.

  2. Quilt Lady says:

You can’t go wrong with Jane Porter’s books. Have you read Flirting With Forty by her, its awesome.

Having a hard time choosing, so I’ll just say Nora Roberts’ MacGregor series and Linda Howard’s Mackenzies.
