Tagline Contest

Match the taglines with the titles for a chance to win!

Editors add taglines on book covers to give readers a quick idea about the story. Sometimes the tagline is on the front of the book, but they can also be found on the back or at the beginning of the story summary. Carr_ValentineDayIsKillingMe

The title and cover convey the genre and tone, but the tagline offers more insight. For example, the original tagline for Valentine’s Day is Killing Me was “A holiday this hot is criminal.” This, along with the title, shows that these are holiday stories with a hot romance and there’s a crime involved.

But can you look at a tagline and know immediately which book it’s for? Here are five taglines from my books:

Taglines

  • 1. Claimed but not forgiven
  • 2. Come closer…
  • 3. Diamonds really are a girl’s best friend
  • 4. Suddenly irresistible!
  • 5. You can’t keep a bad boy down…

Can you match the tagline to the correct title?

Titles

  • A. Confessions of a “Wicked” Woman
  • B. Her Shameful Secret
  • C.  Lip Lock
  • D. Pink Ice
  • E. Suddenly Sexy

Match the taglines with the titles provided and e-mail your answers for a chance to win!

UPDATE: Congratulations to Colleen C, Crystal B., Jane C., L Lam and Sue G. They correctly matched the title with the tagline. Each will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card.
