Princess Aisha has been kidnapped but she knows her father would send someone to rescue her. She just wished it wasn’t a barbarian who doesn’t know how to treat a princess.
It turns out that her rescuer is Zoltan, a sheikh who must marry Aisha to rule his kingdom. Aisha fights this arrangement every step of the way. She wants to have a choice in who she marries but everyone expects her to sacrifice her personal happiness and perform her duty.
Zoltan isn’t that thrilled with the idea of having a spoiled princess as a wife. And now he discovers that he must consummate the marriage according to ancient law. He will romance her if it’s the only way to get her into bed before his coronation. However, Aisha is a virgin and she has saved herself for a man who would love her. She’s not prepared to sacrifice that dream out of duty.
Duty and the Beast by Trish Morey starts off with a bang! This Harlequin Presents immediately swept me away into an exotic world. I really liked the strength that Aisha displayed and how Zoltan gradually realized that she was one treasure he couldn’t lose. If you enjoy sheikh romances as much as I do, read this book!
