A few weeks ago the Romance Writers of America announced the finalists for the 2012 RITA Awards. I was surprised that I had read only one of the nominated books! I have a feeling I’m missing out on some great love stories so my summer reading will be based on the shortlist. How many of the RITA nominated books have you read?

Well, breaking it down –
TBR – 5
Read – 3
and, alas, that’s it! The 5 is an awfully impressive number, until you remember that TBR means to be read. LOL It looks better than I normally do, but I just don’t let it bug me – I have so many books to be read that if they didn’t make a list, so be it.
Lois
I have read 6 and have several on my tbr pile.
I haven’t read any of these books.
I have read 3 of them and have 2 more in my TBR pile.
I’m shocked I did as well as I did. If this was Roger Ebert’s movie list, I’d probably have none.
13 Read, 4 on my TBR pile and a couple I’ve thought about. I had 4 in the Strong Romance Element category. I wouldn’t have said a UF series like Estep’s, which I really like, has a strong romantic element. There’s bit, but it’s small part of the story and not graphic.
Paranormal was next strongest with 3 read and 2 on the TBR pile. Historicals were a zero. I’ve read a couple in the last year, but I’m taking a break.
I’ve read 14. In the romantic suspense category, I read 6 or the 8 nominated books.
I have not read any yet, but a number are on my reading list & I have added more.
