I had plans this weekend to see One for the Money based on Janet Evanovich’s book. Then I read the reviews. No movie critic liked it! So I decided I’ll wait and see what popular opinion had to say after opening week. I’ve sat through too many not-worth-the-money
movies that I’m a little hesitant.

I haven’t seen One For the Money. I am curious to know what others think of the movie.
I haven’t seen it yet.
Even though I love the books I don’t plan on seeing the movie. With the exception of Ranger and Joe the casting looks similar to the books.
Debbie Reynolds is the only actor that I’m a fan of and I can really wait to see it on video to watch her part in the movie.
I haven’t seen the movie and I’ve never read the Stephanie Plum books.
I haven’t seen it and don’t plan to either.
I did not even know it had been made into a movie.
Nope I have not seen it…
I had a feeling it would be a stinker. When it wasn’t even screened for critics you know right there it’s bad.
Having read all 18 books, I had definite imprerssions of the characters and tiny Sheri Shepherd as Lula and an Irish guy for Morelli?!? (And I loved Jason Omara in Life on Mars.) I didn’t have a big issue with Heigl as Stephanie, but her acting is so strident.
I will probably get it on DVD from the library or the $1 kiosk in 2 months.
Have not seen it yet but planning a girls’ night this Friday (dinner and the movie). Actually looking forward to it as I tend to be able to separate books and movies based on the book into separate entertainment venues, if that makes sense. I don’t normally compare them as I know there’s just no way you can fit a 300-page book into a 2-hour movie and still retain every memorable part of the book.
I won’t be watching it. I’ve read every book in the series so I have a definitive picture in my head of each character, so I was disappointed when Sherri Shepherd announced she would be playing Lula, who’s supposed to be a very large woman and is such an important character that this alone would turn me off the film.
