I bought the book not realizing that it was the last installment of a series. That is happening to me more and more these days! Obviously, I need to pay more attention when I skimming through the back cover. Or just assume every book is part of a trilogy or series!

I’m reading Cathy Maxwell’s The Marriage Ring. It is the third book in the Scandals and Seductions series. Next up is Cindy Gerard’s Last Man Standing. It is the 7th book in her Black Ops series.
I have to agree that lately many authors are linking their books into a series. I don’t mind it as long as they aren’t repetitive. The books also must be able to be read individually.
I’m reading “Smokin’ Seventeen”, the 17th book in the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. I’ve read all 17 and I’ve become completely hooked, because the characters have all become so familiar and I just have to know what happens to them next.
Yep – Riptide by Cherry Adair is number two in the Cutter Cay series. And to me, the really good thing about series books, is that you have a clue about what the next ones to come are; at the very least anyway, who just might be in them.

I am reading Forever by Maggie Stiefvater. It is the third book in her wolves trilogy.
I’m actually reading a YA by Gemma Halliday titled Deadly Cool. To the best of my knowledge, it’s her first foray into the YA genre and I’m finding it really good.
I’m reading The Deadliest Bite by Jennifer Rardin, the 8th and last book in her Jaz Parks series.
I’m finding it a quick read.
I’m reading STARDUST by Neil Gaiman – not part of a series, but certainly fun.
I’m reading Jenna Petersen’s “What a Duke Desires.” It’s the first book in her Billingham Bastards trilogy.
