Yesterday I was managing my Kindle and deleting a few books. I could have kept them, but I knew I wouldn’t read them again. Deleting is one of the downsides of e-books — no charity donation or trips to the used book store. It makes me feel very wasteful!

I seem to be allergic to throwing books out, so I keep them all, even if I know I’ll never look at them again. I’ll let anyone who wants to read them take them for as long as they wish, and pass them around, just so long as they’re being read. I once threw a book away when I was travelling and I regretted it, because it could have entertained many more people and also because it feels a bit disrespectful to the author.
I only get rid of the ones that I just really didn’t like, hated or simply know I’m not going to read again… and have been trying to give them to thrift shops or libraries, but the ones that we looked at don’t take books or only take certain books (really???)… but we have found some other places that will, just have to take them there!

The local middle school does a great used book sale fundraiser. So for years I donate a box of book (and of course wind up taking half a box of “new to me” books home as well)
I box up the print books I’m finished with and take them to our local women’s shelter
I only give away books when they are ones I truly did not like… when that happens I give them to my library to help them raise money for their kids summer reading program.
I keep them. They’re in containers and out of the way of the ones I reread or have yet to get to.
It depends. There is a local used bookstore I take them to which I then use as credit to buy more books. Or I give them to Goodwill.
I usually keep them anyway or if it’s a book I think my sister would enjoy I’ll give it to her.
I kept them for quite a while but finally gave approximately 10 boxes to the local library for a fundraiser. I knew they were going to a good cause but, oh, did it hurt!
I keep most of my books, but if I really don’t want them I’ll give them to my friends or donate to the library if they’re accepting donations.
I have a very large extended family, so passing books along is easily accomplished.

You never really “delete” your Kindle books!! That IS the beauty. You can move them over and read them forever, or reference them at will. (Plus those of us with the original Kindle One have the SD card option to store shiploads and shiploads… No need to get rid of anything.) Yay!!!!!!
