Subscribe by email:For eleven consecutive years, Writer’s Digest has named Funds for Writers one of the best websites for writers. The website is great, but what I really love is the newsletter that arrives in my in-box every weekend.
The first thing I read is C. Hope Clark’s editor’s letter. She always has something interesting and thoughtful to say. The newsletter also includes a featured article by another writer. Sometimes the writer is a journalist or freelance writer. Sometimes it’s by a non-fiction author or an author who writes in a genre that is unfamiliar to me. My world is deeply in romance fiction and this newsletter allows me to find out what’s going on in other parts of the writing industry.
The Funds for Writers has information on writing competition, grants for writers, freelance markets, job listings, and updates on publishers and agents.
And did I mention that all this information is free? I recommend browsing http://www.fundsforwriters.com/. While you’re at it, sign up for one of the three e-newsletters.
