Hockey superstar Mark Bressler is recovering from a career-ending accident and has a tendency to scare off every home health care worker his team sends. The last one held out for an hour. So when Chelsea Ross shows up with her mismatched hair, dented car and ridiculous clothes, he figures she’ll break the record.

But Chelsea doesn’t scare easily. A former personal assistant to Hollywood celebrities and an actress who was usually the first bimbo to get axed in horror films, Chelsea’s a lot tougher than she looks. And she’s willing to put up with a lot for the financial bonus the team was willing to pay if she holds out for a few months.

Mark and Chelsea can’t stand each other at first sight, but what they really hate is how their dreams have crashed and burned. They’re stuck together… if they don’t kill each other first. And even though Mark swears he doesn’t find Chelsea attractive, and Chelsea declares she’s relieved by Mark’s disinterest, it’s only a matter of time before they fall in bed and fall for each other.
