Duty, Desire and the Desert King by Jane Porter

Rou is a matchmaker who understands the laws of attraction from a purely scientific point of view. Zayed is a playboy sheikh who was once a hopeless romantic but now believes he’s cursed. Duty requires him to marry and he hires Rou to find him a wife. When they run out of time, Zayed asks Rou to marry him.

Rou is my favorite kind of heroine. She’s a little uptight and at first Zayed thinks she’s dull. She’s also independent, loyal, intelligent and not beautiful. Thanks to Zayed, she realizes that her world is absent of color, passion and hunger. After marrying Zayed, she longs for those things, as well as love. Loving him, however, is a risk because Zayed never would have married her if it hadn’t been his duty.

Duty, Desire and the Desert King is a sensual treat! This book will appeal to readers who enjoy opposite attracts romances.

Duty, Desire and the Desert King is a December 2009 Harlequin Presents. It’s book three of The Desert Kings series, and several characters from Jane Porter’s sheikh romances appear. Find out more about this book and Jane’s Harlequin Presents on her website.
