I’m happy that I’ve read over 40 books this year so far. That surpasses the amount I read in all of 2008. But I have a long way to go to reach 100 books by December!
I read quite a few book in June, but I think my favorite was The Spaniard’s Marriage Bargain by Abby Green. This story has lingered in my mind for weeks afterwards and I keep talking about it with some friends who also read Harlequin Presents. The story is about a woman who enters a marriage of convenience . She becomes pregnant and disappears the day she gives birth to her son. Two years later she returns, hoping to re-establish a relationship with her child, and a husband who can’t forgive her for what she’s done. Within the first chapter I sat straight up, thinking “well, this is going to be interesting!” I pretty much inhaled this book!!
What about you? What was your favorite book that you read in June? Tell us all about it in the comment section before Sunday at midnight Pacific Time. I will pick one person to win a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card.
*Update: I randomly picked Marie’s name and she wins a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card. Thanks to everyone for blogging with me!*

Lately I’ve been into Abby Green too! I read two of her books in June, “The French Tycoon’s Pregnant Mistress” & “The Mediterranean Billionaire’s Blackmail Bargain”. My fav as of now is the French Tycoon one. It’s my first book by her too. Can’t wait to devour all her backlist!
Erm, no need to include me in the draw.
I think I’ve missed some of Abby Green’s books, so I need to hunt them down. I really enjoyed her first book, CHOSEN AS THE FRENCHMAN’S BRIDE. I don’t know what it was about that book, but once I finished it I immediately went back to page one and re-read it. That’s very rare for me to do!

I just got into Lori Foster’s SBC series. I’ve read Simon Says and Hard to Handle in June and I’m currently reading My Man, Michael.
I’ve been reading Rachel Caine’s The Morganville Vampire series, I’m on book 5 and enjoying them!
I’m reading The Rebel Doctor’s Bride. It’s a book I downloaded for free during Harlequin’s 60th anniversary offer by Sarah Morgan, an author I’ve never read before.
Summer on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber – a comfortable read by a favorite author.
Nothing to Fear by Karen Rose – another great romantic suspense that kept me up all night reading. Her books are super.
My favorite reads of June were Allison Brennan’s “Fatal Secrets” and Meryl Sawyer’s “Death’s Door.” I love romantic suspense. I haven’t read Abby Green.
