There are many romance readers who want to discuss, dissect and defend the books they read. These women will argue vehemently about beloved tropes, dig so deep into themes that it could rival academic research, and fight you for their book boyfriend.
So why is it a struggle to find someone passionate about the romance genre on YouTube?
It feels like the majority of Booktubers only covers Young Adult fiction. If they do mention a romance book, it turns out they aren’t familiar with the genre and the book they recommend doesn’t fit into the category. When you do find a content creator who mentions a book that piques your interest, you sit through a 15 minute video only for them to talk about everything except the book.
But don’t give up the search! If you’re looking for a YouTube channel that discusses adult romance genre, keeps up-to-date with the trends, and participates in challenges and readathons, consider these three Booktubers:
Falling over Books
Watch her book hauls and book tags before you go on one-click spree.
