Literary Candles for Booklovers

If you scroll through Instagram, you know that books and candles are just meant to be together. Some enterprising candlemakers seem to agree as there’s a category of candles known as literary candles or book candles.

Are these candles meant to be used while you’re reading? Or do you just have them lit and think about books?

Obviously, I’m not the candlemaker’s ideal audience. It’s probably for the best. I’m the kind of reader who can’t remember that I have a cup of hot tea at my side while I’m curled up with a book. Lighted candles would be a disaster waiting to happen.

But for those who can be trusted with an open flame while cracking open a book, here are a few candles to enhance your reading experience:

New Book Pages Candle

This is supposed to have the scent of a freshly printed book. Umm… why not just open a new book?

Team Jacob scented candle

I’d buy it because of the label.

Book Worm candle

I’ve never caught a whiff of caramel and thought “bookworm”.

Rainy Day Reads candle

I can embrace the idea behind this candle.

The Princess Bride Buttercup Scented candle

Do I really want a candle inspired by characters who endured an epic road trip with no plumbing available?
